I made it! Well technically speaking, I have two more juices to go buuuut seeing as the fridge that is no longer overflowing with cold-pressed juice bottles, it feels like quite the accomplishment.
Now three days may not seem like much, especially considering the crazies who are able to sustain cleanses for TEN+ days (no judgement!…ok maybe a little judgement.) but for a food-obsessed, lover of variety, on-the-go girl like me it was nothing short of a challenge.
My goal for the three day cleanse was to 1. complete it and 2. make the most out of the three days in terms of mind and body. Now number 1 is self-explanatory, number 2 has a little more going on, if ya know what I’m sayin’.
I went into the cleanse after the holiday hoping for a chance to reset my body, health-wise, after a weekend of ingesting almost everything in sight. (We’ve all had those days.)
So why not just eat healthy and exercise? Well, I already do that but I’ve found in my own personal life self-control and mental hurdles are about all that hold me back from finding a path of elevated wellness and sticking to it.
A cleanse is a great way to provide your body with an abundance of nutrients that enable detoxification while giving your digestive system a break. AND it can also work wonders putting the power back in your hands for the choices you make health-wise, especially regarding food.
Now don’t get me wrong, drinking 18 bottles of green juice for three days isn’t going to prevent me from eating a cheeseburger for the rest of my life, it has however allowed me to prove to my own self that I have the tools inside of me to accomplish the goals I set.
And that, my beauties, is the most important lesson of all, because the only way to find your success-whether or not that is elevated wellness-is to set small goals and reach them step by step.
Thank you Project juice for helping me achieve a goal & of course for your yummy juices!
I highly recommend welcoming their organic, cold-pressed juices into your life, cleanse or not. I’ve gone three days and I’m still not sick of em, that’s saying something.
And thank you all for sticking with me through my first #thejuicecleansediaries series! It’s been juicy.
